The National Housing Preservation Database (NHPD) is featured in the Summer 2025 issue of Affordable Housing News, where the article “A Go-To Resource,” written by Kelly McElwain, Manager, Research & Industry Intelligence with the Public and Affordable Housing Research Corporation (PAHRC), showcases how the database supports housing preservation efforts nationwide.
Developed by PAHRC and the National Low Income Housing Coalition, the NHPD is the most comprehensive database of federally assisted rental housing in the United States. The article highlights how affordable housing professionals, policymakers, and researchers use the NHPD to identify at-risk properties, analyze preservation needs, and make data-driven decisions that strengthen housing stability in their communities.
